Okay, it's time for the third HPF Contest... And this one's a doozy.

In the spirit of the season, it's been decided to make this contest have a Halloween theme! Additionally, there will be three different parts that people may enter, each with its own individual prize.

The first part I have dubbed 'Costume Art', where each entry should depict a member of the forum staff (any moderators or admins) dressed in a Halloween costume. Imaginative name, I know. ^^ Feel free to show them wearing whatever you wish, but remember this is basically the 'light-hearted' portion of the contest... So don't make your work too creepy, please.

The second and third parts aim to delve into the spookier side of the holiday... Artists and writers should enter horror-themed works (involving whatever characters they wish) for their respective categories, as dark as the entrants care to make them. We're all adults here, we can take it. ^^ As for story length, I'm going with Mage's call on making it around the same length as last time, 3-5 pages of double-spaced font.

There will be a separate prize for each category, with all entries for the contest going on display in the Contests Showcase at the end of the voting. As usual, the prize will be 5 levels, so the potential exists to gain a full fifteen if someone's feeling insanely ambitious... To officially take part in this spooky event, send me a PM with the category (or categories) you wish to enter.

For the benefit of the 'costume art' entrants, here is a list of the forum staff and their main characters' species.

Would I be allowed to post my entries here? If the contest's being abandoned, I'd at least like to show what I made for it...

The time to enter is already over, we're supposed to judge it before Friday. Red just hasn't gotten around to posting a thread for voting.

Sorry for the .jpg compression, servimg butchered these. I wish I hadn't spent so long on it, if I'd known the contest wasn't going to work, I would have stuck with the first picture I made...

It's kinda toony I know, but I liked it so I just went with it ^_^ hope you all like it.

Looks like someone's going to get eaten! Thanks for posting, maybe Red will take notice now and we can get our levels! Still wondering if anyone wants to see my scary story.

... It's not really my fault that people seemed uninterested, and there were problems about those who were getting their submissions in. But I suppose you two are in the right here, I should have tried to handle things better. Ergo, I'm going to make a judgement call and reward you both, for making the effort (and producing fantastic results) to stick things out on this sinking ship of a contest.
