Help with a forum!

Okay guys, I recently made a forum of my own, but I have a little problem that I can't figure out. First of all, in the area where you create a new topic, instead of saying "new topic", it says "nouveua" instead. Uh, does anyone know how to change that? Sure, I know that it means to make a new topic, but it's really annoying, since I don't speak French or whatever that is, and everyone else might not either.

Second, do you all see that little half-Pokeball on the top of the page? You know, right new to the web address? Does anyone know how you get that there? In other words, how do you get a picture in that little area? What do you have to do?

Ok, it sounds like you made your site in another language, I believe it is french, but don't quote me on that. What service did you use to create it? I've seen it happen a couple times, but I'm not sure why. I'd guess going to one of the sites international versions by mistake, and it setting it to that language by default. I actually had the canadian version of AOL for like 4 years due to a mistake like that at one point.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure you may have set it up to be a different language - perhaps French being the default. Or, you may have picked a skin that had buttons that were labelled in French.

As for the icon by the address, that's a favicon. Not sure how to change it on a free forum hosting site, unless you have access to the directory. You need to upload a file called "favicon.ico", and I believe you need to add some code into the index page, as well. I don't recall offhand. Though, I'm not sure how free forum hosts work as far as that goes.
