Share Your Recipes!
I think it goes without saying that most if not all of us love eating and food around here, exceptionally so, but for some of us that also means we spend time in real life finding new and interesting ways to spice up what goes on the table.
To that end, here's a recipe to share with you all--I encourage anyone who wants to share their own concoctions to do so!
This is a snack that originally came from "CDKitchen.com" online, but has undergone some revisions and a small name change. A treat for those of you who can stand the heat, either as a fire type or a lover of spicy foods. A decent party food, provided you give warning first. ;3
Growlithe Treats (Spicy Chicken Bites)
3 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1 tablespoon cayenne pepper
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 cup flour
vegetable oil
Wash chicken breasts and lightly pat dry. Dice into roughly 1-inch cubes. Mix spices together and coat pieces thoroughly. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour. Thoroughly mix another 1/2 teaspoon black pepper into the flour. (Arcanine variant: double black pepper in the flour, add an equivalent amount of cayenne pepper, mix thoroughly)
Remove chicken from fridge, coat well with seasoned flour, then deep fry in vegetable oil at 375 degrees, for 3 to 4 minutes.
Drain on paper towels; serve with ranch or blue cheese dressing and celery sticks.
Makes 36 servings. Will pass as dinner for up to three Growlithes, or a small snack for one Arcanine.
Enjoy! Let me know what you think if you care to try it out.

Arcanine: n. A large quadrupedal creature that appears to be equal parts wolf, tiger, and lion when viewed from the outside, but appears to be equal parts flamethrower, stomach, and reproductive system when viewed from the inside.
