According to GameFAQs, the official name for them are "Pokemon Heart Gold" and "Pokemon Soul Silver".

Yes, the cases were fake. But according to the rumours and words that spread, that actual image was what made it become considered as something to do to rake in more money.

Think about it. An image created to stir up a fuss and people excited, word reaches Nintendo about it and therefore they KNOW how many want it to happen. It's not that hard to figure out.

A lot of games that were remade were sparked by fake stuff, everyone knows that. Even I could tell that image was fake. But it was the kind of thing that starts it up initially. That's when they do polls and such. Observations and research. Do you think Nintendo would pass up a chance to make millions with all the copies of those games? Gold and Silver was one of the most loved generations. But they couldn't make it identical, they needed to add in a little more to it to help those who have the original Gold and Silver desire it to see the difference. I will say, it worked on me. I want to see it since I have all of the games so far...

I didn't, but it does make sense. Actually im surprised they didn't make a remake earlier, Gold and Silver were t5he epiphany of pokemon games. im gld it's actually happening.

I'm optimistic, though I do hope that this'll be a proper remake/upgrade, and not just Platinum 1.5 with some older stuff tossed in for retro appeal.

Possible. But Pokemon Yellow was not the most loved game by some out there, not as much as Generation II games. They might...

I never was a big fan of pokemon games as a kid (I was a hardcore mario fan only) but with all the fuzz over it later made me want to get it and since we were already into D/P, it was too late. (first pokemon game ever bought and played: BR...yeah, go ahead and laugh... >_>; )

I hope it lets you evolve it. In Pokemon Yellow you couldn't evolve your Pikachu.

Omg! Now I can't wait for this to come out! I wonder if it is just your starter pokemon that can pal around with you. It would be funny if the first pokemon in your party walked with you. I can imagine the looks on people face when a lugia or a suicine is strolling along behind you.

But there is small catch... The game will most likely not be released in the us or Australia until early next year. Most games are like that. They float around Japan for about a year, then they give the other countries copies. *Tear shed*

soo, i played the Japanes verision a few months ago.... its cool to see the area in 3D with nice effects, the fights are harder and the Arenas are nice remoddeld, the main-legendarys are in 3D too, but only for a few seconds... when you reach kanto, the nostalgic feeling gets destroyed, there are pokemons from ther third and fourth generation aswell

and yes, it contains also the story from crystal

i dont really like it since kanto, because of the ' new ' poke´s there

so, thats from me

ps, the japanese version has always the cooler logo

Im however fairly certain that the rival in this game is suposed to be a theif at first
I had silver at one point

I howevevr got stuck at the sudowoodo part and didn't get the water bottle until my quilava was level 80 something

the rest of the game was excrushiateingly easy XD
