Wiikly News Report
-What is a Wiikly News Report ?
A Wiikly News Report, or WNR if you want a shorter name, is a little project that started out as a game months ago :3
Every week I gather important news related to the wii, my fave console. For the most part I'm an open gamer who plays all the consoles, but my fave one has always been the wii. What I noticed though is how there was a lot of misinformation on the console, or rather, on its games.
A lot of games came out with people totally ignoring them or not even knowing about their existance. So I decided to share a few optimistic views on the console, posting news, screens, infos and viceos, also giving my own contribute with a small review written by me about a game I'd finish during the week.
My reviews are not supposed to rate the game. They analyze the game for what it is, trying to understand wich gamers can like it and what are the real problems that can affect a game (camera problems, bugs, bad programming...). Too many times I saw games underrated because the reviewers hated the artstyle, didn't like the gameplay or were bored by the story. I honestly think that a reviewer shouldn't let his own personal opinions influence the rating of a game. That's also why my reviews lack a final vote. They are written keeping in mind to illustrate how the game works, how it looks, how it sounds and how it feels. it's up to the gamer to decide if to pick it up or not. I may just recomment it to everyone or just to specific gamers. That's the job of a reviewer, right ? :3
Anyway...every week I'll post those reports and I'll probably make topics about the old reviews you wouldn't have the chance to see otherwise, so that you can check out on some old game. I really hope you'll enjoy them and find them useful
RULES: EVERYONE, PLEASE, READ
I tried to keep the rules simple and not too restricting. Make sure to read them:
-no console war or flaming: I know that we all have our fave console. I won't let anyone bash another one's prefs for that though. Many times I saw people yelling at each other ust because they prefered different consoles. So respect each other's opinion, no flaming on consoles or games
-criticism is accepted, just make it constructive: I said I don't want flame, but negative comments can be accepted as long as they are respectful. Like, if you want to give reasons about your opinion, make them actually discussion worthy :3 otherwise you may sound like someone I know, who doesn't like metroid prime because samus's suit is yellow and he doesn't think that's a serious colour X3
-have fun gaming: well, this is not a rule, just a reminder that the gaming world is supposed to be a fun place X3 don't let it get ruined by rants :3 some people actually haves more fun and passes more time ranting than playing games, seriously :3
well...I think that's all for now! this sunday I'll put up the first wiikly report! :3
