New Co-Admin! And I'm Taking a Break...

Alright guys, this might seem a bit out of the blue (I admit, it sort of is), but Guan has now joined our co-admin team! He has offered himself to the position before, and I decided to accept him, seeing how a few people have wanted the co-admin team to be larger, and seeing how I need to take a vacation myself (more on that soon). Guan is a very trustworthy lizard, having been head admin for the Dragonspot Forums for quite a while now. I also am very close to him irl, and know that he has a good head on his shoulders for the job.

But yes, I am taking a break from my duties as head admin. Lately all the work on the forums I've been doing is simply burning me out and bringing me down... I'm tired, and need to take a vacation from all of this. My fellow admins are willing to pick up my slack while I do this.

This isn't to say I'm leaving the forum. I plan to actually be more active in posting in topics and maybe even joining an rp in the Vore RPs section. In other words, I want to enjoy the site for a while, rather than just be working on it.

In any case, please direct any site-related issues and events to either Magetorment, RedMage89, or Guan, not to me. Thanks to my nature, I'll likely help you anyways if you come to me, but the goal here is that I stop doing such work for a while. x3

I don't have a date set on the length of my vacation, but once I am feeling rejuvenated, I will return to my duties with a new announcement. Thanks guys!

Hope everyone's doing well. My name is Guan, and while I'm usually not a Pokémon by default, I do have a hybrid Charizard form that is integrated with my normal iguanko one. What you see to the right of this will be the appearance I take every time I log on, unless indicated otherwise. Granted it may not look much like a 'zard, but trust me, it is, just green-skinned with black horns/claws and red stripes/spikes. Also longer limbs and a little over 3¼ meters (10'7"+) in height. All the better to gulp you with, my dear.

That aside, I'm very honored to be part of the team here; this is a FANTASTIC forum that Charem has set up, and I only wish I could have been more active in it. Having taken a decent fly-by of the community thanks to the efforts of MageTorment, I have a pretty good idea of what needs to be shaped up and organized, and staff and I will be meeting this weekend to discuss how better to manage tasks that will serve the community. This includes a renewal of some of the inactive sections of the board as well as a rehiring of moderators in key positions that are currently vacant, seeing as there are a few here that have not been able to monitor their positions as frequently or responsibly as expected of them. I'll also be sorting through our inactive member list and setting a two-week policy for activation. I don't care if some members want to lurk, but there's no good reason to keep inactive accounts here.

If you guys have any questions/concerns/etc. about me or my responsibilities here, please don't hesitate to contact me through E-mail or PM. I'm a senior undergraduate composer and linguistics student at the University of Kansas, so I may not be as available as often as you've come to expect from Charem, but I will still try to sweep overhead daily to keep up maintenance. Despite my tough skin, I'm a friendly guy most of the time.

I agree with Baako! However, the 2 week rule is for activation of your account, not having to log on at least once every two weeks yes? There have been times when I do take large breaks for this place...

Perfectly understandable. It's nice to get to just enjoy things from time to time, rather than having to run the stuff all the time. I've been in similar situations myself.
