Post by Sparky the chu on Sun 31 Jan - 13:13

Hi all and
welcome to a new Wiikly news report :3 I’m sorry to say that this week I didn’t
manage to finish any game so we’ll have to settle without a review x.x but I’ll
surely have one next week, I promise! ^^

I hope many of you are enjoying Tatsunoko VS Capcom and No more heroes 2 :3 I’m enjoing the
first one since I’m still waiting for a PAL release of NMH2…not that I’m
complaining, TvC makes up for it quite well! X3 I hope to challenge you online

NEWS OF THE WEEK

Ok, let’s start out with the big announcements of the week, everyone pay attention please
:3

See, Nintendo this week opened three teaser websites: One of them
relates to a game everyone know, Metroid Other M, also confirming it’s release
in 2010. Here’s the link:
http://metroid.jp/

The other Two refer to two brand-new Nintendo games! The good thing is that both have two
legendary teams working on it!

Monolith soft, the team responsible for Xenosaga and Baten Kaitos is working on a game
called XENOBLADE wich seems to be connected with both Xenosaga and Xenogears.
There’s the original author and music composer behind it, so give the website a
look to listen to the awesome music:

If this wasn’t enough Nintendo released another website for another brand-new game. The
name is THE LAST STORY and behind it there is the Nintendo team working with
the original Final Fantasy team (wich also includes Sakaguchi, the author of FF
games up to the 10th) now known as Mistwalker. You can see the
website here:http://www.nintendo.co.jp/wii/slsj/index.html

Some of you may notice the similarity with an FF logo, both for the art and for the name
(last = final/story = fantasy). Sakaguchi announced that this game will try to
revolutionize the JRPG genre…and with the FF and Nintendo teams working
together I have high hopes :3

Looks like the E3 of this year will be fun, given how Iwata also confirmed the
announcement of the new Zelda for the event X3

For the release of Monster Hunter 3 in Europe Nintendo announced a bundle of the game
getting sold along with a black classic controller. Here’s the boxart:

That's some awesome stuff. :3

I think the thing I'm looking forward to most is either Metroid: Other M, or the MotionPlus Zelda game. ^^

... 'Cause lasers and swords are cool. :3
