Generation Five Cometh!
http://serebii.net/generation5/
Behold that which is the new generation of pokemon! Opinions? Personally, this Zoroark seems to be like the next Lucario for me. I like him, and yes, will admit pokephillic thoughts will likely emerge, but like Lucario, his hype will grow to ludicrous proportions and several people will become them simply because they think its the coolest thing ever. With a bunch of immature people controlling and making works of said pokemon, he will lose all his genuine authority, like what happened to Lucario.
People need to stop saying Lucario was the first gen 4 pokemon revealed/used in a movie too. The first was Munchlax, whom I absolutely adore. More then Lucario, actually.
I do think people need to stop complaining about the amount of pokemon in the game increasing. Take a look at our own world. Are there simply a hundred fifty types of animals on the earth? No. There are thousands upon thousands. It is such with poke world too. Just because your original 150 arn't as much of a focus anymore isn't a reason to bash the game as a whole. Stop clinging to nostalgia so much and give the new games a chance. If you don't like them, replay the old games. Im replaying Crystal, and its just a trip down memory lane for me. Remember when names of people and items were in all caps? It made it seem like they were screaming the names of them at you yet saying the rest of the sentence normally!
GOLD! found a BERRY! GOLD! put the BERRY! in the ITEMS POCKET!
Ah, nostalgia...
Something that I don't want though is more legends. At least not armies of them like Gens 3 and 4 gave us. Gen 2 simply added in Ho-Oh, Lugia, the dogs, and Celebi if I recall correctly. I cant name off the legends that 3 or 4 added without forgetting some. I know I said more pokemon really aint a problem, but seriously, we have God. Thats enough. No more creators of paralell realities, or beings of emotion, or gods of soda cans or whatever. Focus more on the actual pokemon themselves.
I hope to see some new evos from Gen 5, but I dont want them to be Meh like most of the gen 4 evos were. The only Gen 4 evos I really liked were Wevile, Dusknoir, and Honchkrow. Everything else either wasnt terribly appealing, or stifled my want to evolve them at all. But evos would be nice! I would love to make Chatot more viable to use in OU teams, Farfetched has been begging for an evo forever, and Kengaskahn needs her pre evolution already!
Also, shall the gen 5 games be set in japan like the other games are? If so where? The gap between Kanto/Sinnoh? Johto/Hoenn? Or are they gonna pull a Colo/XD on us and set it IN AMERICA? ...nah, that would be lame.

Personally, if they keep making pokémon like Zorua, I think I'll enjoy the new generation very much... ;3
But I'm doubtful about how good the generation will be.
...But i've got Zorua. Zorua alone shows there will at least be -1- pokémon I like in gen 5!
(...did I mention I like zorua? :3c)

Re: Generation Five Cometh!
I can see it now... Zoroark turning Lucario into his bitch... XD (Now Im starting to wonder if he's gonna replace lucario in the next smash... o.o)
other than that I agree with ya SS... no more legendaries...we got more than enough to last like 3 more generations. it would be cool if there were sidestories that focused on the other legendaries, like deoxys, or shaymin, or some others that you needed to go to a special event to get their ticket...
if they continue to make cool pokés for this new gen, then I guess it won't be as bad as I thought... though I wonder what new stuff will they introduce in this game (gen 2 introduced double types, gen 3 introduced double battle, gen 4 introduced...erm... 3D... and so on...)

Its already happened Zeph.
And im ok with those pokemon like Deoxys and Mewtwo, aliens, mutations, things that arnt supernatural and by themselves cant take over the world or destroy it. I just dont want a zillion special pokes that the poketards will show off thinking they are so cool for having all of them.

Gen 4 introduced the new Physical/Special split. As for what they introduce, I'm usually happy with new type combinations (Water/Ground from Gen 2 was a toughy, THEN came Ghost/Dark in Gen 3... Gen 4 didn't introduce a while lot of interesting type combos. Yes, even Fighting/Steel was "meh").
As for legendaries, I'll be OK with a few, especially REGIONAL legendaries, like the Birds and Cats were, no more of this "god" stuff PLEASE. I'd especially like to see, however, a created, Mewtwo-like legendary. Obviously, not EXACTLY the same story, but it'd at the least be a nice break from the "god-storm" we've been having.

Re: Generation Five Cometh!
I'm just happy they're coming out with a new generation at all! Really, everything that you guys said above me makes perfect sense, but I really don't care; I'll like the new generation no matter what! I'm a true fan that really adores everything; I don't care that there's too many legendaries (I'm the best, by the way), too much capitalization, too few type specialties, or whatever. I accept everything that comes along and I always will.
These two new fox Pokemon are cute, I agree, but they don't strike me as Lucario-ish. Lucario was still better. You can never replace the ones who came before you, no matter what. Ho-oh and Lugia are not better than Zapdos, Moltres and Articuno, Glameow is not better than Meowth, Shinx (or whoever) is not better than Pikachu, and so on. It's just like if you were a mother and you had two sons; sure, as a true loving parent, you'll care for them both equally. But, deep down inside, you cannot ever misplace or forget about the one who came first. So, this goes for Pokemon, too. I guess my main point is: DON'T FORGET ABOUT LUCARIO!
Even though I'm not greedy and don't need to ask for anything to make the next generation good, all I ask is that no more "beautiful" Pokemon be made! It's bad enough that I have to compete with Kirlia, Gardevoir, Lopunny and all those other "sexy" types! Humph...what fools.
Either way, I can't wait until it comes out. But, to pass the time, SoulSilver and HeartGold will be everything we need once they come out next month.
