Song Shuffle Bonanza!

Post by Josh the Meowth on March 15th 2010, 2:11 am

This might be a bit monotonous, but since I love music so much, I thought that this would be a fun thing to do, so people could show off their music that they have on their computer, Ipod or anything else that they listen to. But, to not crowd stuff up and make it all annoying, you can only list up to five songs at once. And, to make it interesting, make a statement on why each song you wrote down is worthy of being listened to by others' ears besides your own. Oh, and one more thing...if you "daydream" or "think" about anything "interesting" while you listen to your songs, go ahead and share it, no matter how weird, strange, disturbing or stupid it is. I'll start off, to give you some examples:

1. Polkamon - Weird Al Yankovic (Duh, Weird Al polkas about about 50 or so random Pokemon, and the two minute tune is quite catchy. When I listen to this song, I visualize Charmy Bee in the Pokemon world and singing about the different Pokemon he meets while playing the accordion)

2. Wild Thing - Tone Loc (A very interesting tune; I still don't honestly know if it's rap or rock. It's a bit dirty, but it's still catchy and entertaining. When I listen to this song, I visualize Knuckles the Echidna singing about doing the "wild thing" with Amy, Blaze, Wave, Marine, Tikal and Rouge, with the latter making him end the song in disgust)

3. Goodbye Earl - Dixie Chicks (An extremely funny country song that has a great rhythm and a disturbing, yet very humorous, story. When I listen to this song, I visualize Doctor Eggman buying Amy Rose as a slave, then abusing her, so she and Rouge kill him and celebrate about it, while Sonic and Shadow try to solve the case)

4. Online - Brad Paisley (A very catchy country song about the "benefits" of when you go on the internet, sung in a seemingly playful way. When I listen to this song, I visualize Miles "Tails" Prower trying to become cooler by being online and chatting with women and making himself cooler, but only makes himself look much more nerdy)

5. Don't Matter - Akon (A slow and somewhat-repetitive song, but really heartfelt and pretty; I first heard it from a Blaze x Eggman flash. When I listen to this song, I visualize Josh the Meowth [my guy] singing about Tails, since he loves the fox a lot, but he knows that everyone doesn't want the two to be together.

Definately an interesting idea. Lemme see what I got. I have no idea how I'll take this down to my 5 fave songs, but I'll give 5 that might sound interesting.

5. Ghost Opera - Kamelot (This band has arguably one of the best vocalist in all of Power Metal, and in Metal in general. And for those who are turned off by such things, no he doesn't scream. Just a fantastic voice. He is complimented by a very good guitarist and an above average drummer, though neither are particularly displayed in this song. What makes this song really special is that it has one of the most interesting and entertaining music videos I've ever seen.)

4. Sequoia Throne - Protest the Hero (Someone who sings as high pitched as Rody is not supposed to be able to scream, but he can. Overall, this is one of the deepest bands I know of. They're still a young band (23/24 years old) but their guitarist and bassist are on their way to becoming music GODS. And yes, I said their bassist. These guys are possibly the best thing to come from Canada since bacon and maple syrup. They take Progressive Metal to its optimum level.)

3. Thousandfold - Eluveitie (This album was only released last week by this Folk Metal band from Switzerland. For those of you who don't know what Folk Metal is, it's simply that you take an ordinary metal band, adding folk intruments like flute, violin, bagpipes and more to blend into one amazing genre. What makes this song amazing is that it uses words that people who don't speak English as a first language aren't supposed to know, let alone use in a song (bereave, foray, pilum, encumbrance, and more). Oh, and of the bands 8 members, they have 2 chicks. Not very common for metal, eh?)

2. Dogs Can Grow Beards All Over - The Devil Wears Prada (I'm not the biggest fan of this band, but the names of their songs are... amusing to say the least. If you want mindless, pointless, yet amazing screaming, these guys are the best. Also, a very young Metalcore band, in their very low twenties, its interesting to hear such a hardcore band that's also... a Christian band? Whaaat? Yeah.)

1. Savior - Rise Against (Though 9/10 of my favorite bands are metal bands, this Punk Rock band is the exception. They have been my favorite group for years because of the diverse nature to their songs, form acoustic rhythm to screamo and so much in between. I could go on and on about these guys. Their songs have some of the deepest meanings you will hear, they're a completely straightedge band (they don't drink hard or do drugs), they're all vegetarians, and yet they can still be hardcore. Many of their songs and music videos advocate animal rights, and the music video for thing song is one of the best. What makes this song #1 on my list is that the music video features furries! It's really quite an interesting and meaningful video. Check these guys out. Now.)

Ooooh this is gonna be fun, and it gives me some new bands to look up

1. Over the hills and far away - Led zepplin. (This song is just to bright and happy to keep you down. It's a really great mix of an electric six string and acoustic [I think] 12 string guitar. Not to mention that it's Led Zepplin which means it's Jimmi Page, which means it's automatically100% awesome in my book. Over all it's just a really great song, really happy but not overly so.)

2. The End Complete II: Radio Bye Bye - Coheed and Cambria (First off I'm a REALLY big Coheed fan, already got my black card and concert ticket bought ^^. For me this song brings to mind a driving music video for some reason, I don't know why but it just does. It's a little different from the rest of the No World for Tomorrow album, since it's not intense as Gravemakers and Gunslingers, but it's not quite as calm as Mother Superior. I think to really get what I mean you need to listen to it your self.)

3. Dear God - Avenged Sevenfold( This is a cool track mainly because it's so different from what else I've heard from Avenged. It's a very different take on country, mixing in the heavy guitar riffs and solos but it still holds on to the felling of the song. I mean you can really picture M.Shadows on a road with the sun setting and looking stricken that he can't be with the girl he loves. By the way did I mention how awesome the guitars where in this song? Not just the heavy metal ones but the steel and acoustic guitar too.)

4. Deja Vu - Eminem (Yeah my ipod's filled with a bunch of different stuff. It's just kinda nice not listening to screaming guitars 24/7 ya know? So I guess to start is to admire how great Eminem is with the English language. I mean he manages to rhyme and make sense with his rap WITHOUT having to mangle words needlessly just. Plus he tells a great story and you usually get most of what he says with out having to look up lyrics.)

5. Handlebars - Flo bots(This is one of those songs that remind me of a video game, specifically The World Ends With You. I'd explain the game if you hadn't played it, but I'm kinda lazy and I wouldn't want to ruin the game for you ;3. Suffice it to say if you've played this game and listen to this song you'll get what I mean.)

Move your dead bones- Dr. Reanimator (A funny little song with a nice beat to it. when I hear it I can't help but think of Brook from one piece, since he is Dead bones ^,^)

Honky tonk Badonkadonk- Trace Adkins (It's basically the country version of Sir Mixalot's "I like big butts". Whenever I hear it, I get a big smile and I I'm singing along with it by the end of the first verse.)

Oogie Boogiw song- Nightmare before Christmas (I LOVE this movie, and all of its songs, but Oogie's is my absolute favorite! something about the villian-ness of the song mixed with the overall spookiness of the boogieman singing it makes me happy. Nostalgia helps too.)

What if- Plain White T's (It's a fairly upbeat song about asking not spending you whole life asking yourself "What if...?" and not really doing anything. I think it describes me pretty well, as I'm always wondering about things like if people like me or If my life well be good.)

Beautiful Mess- Diamond Rio (a pretty old country song. I used to envision this song about me and my Current GF before we were going out. I would usually be walking around looking tired and beat up, then me and her would be falling in the sky, holding each other’s hands and smiling at each other during the chorus, flying back up at the end of it)

hmm...this might be more fun if you post link to the songs, whether its youtube or some other site. so now, I'll activate the shuffle mode in my cellie and see what songs I have...

Polka Power- Weird Al hehe...oh wow, pure coincidence? XD well, I just love how he remixes popular songs into one hell of a polka mess. parodies are always cool, and there aren't that many that do it in the music industry, compared to the video industry.

Christmas Epic- Sole Signal (AKA Audix) a very epic remix, I mentioned this song in a Christmas music thread last year. If there was a videogame where Santa was the hero, this song would be the final boss's theme. it's that badass IMO.

Stronger (Instrumental)- Kayne West the Kayne West rap/hip-hop remix to "Harder Better Faster Stronger" by Daft Punk...without Kayne West. I just love its techno synth harmony in combination with the deep rap/hip-hop beat. I used it for an old Brawl+ ROB combo video a while back.

Thunder Tornado- Mega Man 9 ah, 8-bit music. Capcom did a really good job with this game's OST. there are other songs which I prefer over this one, but it popped in shuffle mode. well, I relly like how this song fits in with the stage. I can actually imagine mega man spinning on those floating magnets in the sky...

Molgera Boss Theme- LoZ: Wind Waker hehe... my favorite boss battle in wind waker. those who have played it can guess why... XP this song makes me think of a snake charmer who plays the ocarina instead of a flute.

I'll post more songs later.

Re: Song Shuffle Bonanza!

Post by Galen on March 16th 2010, 4:12 am

Alright. Here's one of thew first songs on my list...

Breaking Benjamin - Blow Me Away
- One of the newer songs on my list, about an alternate Mobius, where everything is eerily familiar, yet oddly different. A loose cannon special ops hedgehog who runs a team making a final desperate move against a would-be world-dominating, gene-splicing organization. Essentially, their last stand as they fight agains super soldier mutants and use every bit of their power, natural and chaos energy, to stop it.

Vanessa Carlton - A Thousand Miles - If you're a fan of the Ratchet and Clank series, then you'll know who Angela Cross is. A day in Angela's life after Ratchet has gone. She's simply doing as the song says, making her way home from a hard day of work and wondering just where he is and if he still remembers her. I like to think he does remember and does still care. Which makes me wonder where she is now, since Tachyon's invasion in R&CF: Tools of Destruction...

Train - Ordinary
- This one I stewed over for a while. For those who know, I have several characters, one of them being a human female trainer named Cici. The end of one story, the beginning of another, she was the main heroine of in trying to stop the Rockets from overunning several regions at once, by trying to warn them. Giovanni took exception to this and ordered her death by blowing up the Rocket HQ she was in. Assumed dead, no one searched for her body, which Giovanni found, barely alive... so he ordered her taken and nursed back to health for rather dark purposes. Using cloned super Pokemon, Giovanni nearly succeeded in his overthrow of the regions, but his clones couldn't retain form for more than a few days, due to a weak stability issue. So his scientists theorized that a strong mind, like Mewtwos, was needed to hold them together. Thus, a human mind would be needed, so upon Cici's eventual restoration, they infused her with various Pokemon DNA, trying to turn her into a sort of hive mind. instead, it granted her various powers and abilities from the many Pokemon's DNA she'd been infused with, but it had left her mind a blank. She escaped, and now roams aimlessly, while her friends search for her, now finding out a hiunt that she's alive...

Queen - Who Wants To Live Forever - A sad tale, about another of my characters. A dimension crossing bat-like morph called Rougia, who stands a touch over 2 feet tall. After so much time and effort to bring her llover and mate back to consciousness, she has no choice, but to send him back to their world alone. She's spent too much time in Zero Resonance ((Think of it as the place between reality. Time does not exist there.)) She realises she's changed so much, and he'll only remember as she once was. Small, helpless and afraid of everything, not the strong, powerful creature she is today. Besides that, she also feels that he deserves a life that he'd love, doing his own part to help his world, not being dragged all over several different creations.. so she sends him back, with a tiny bit of mind alteration. He doesn't remember her... and he'll continue his normal life. His friends will all be there for him, but she'll be nothing more than an almost forgotten feeling that will be shrugged off. Meanwhile, Rougia will continue doing what she does: fighting and protecting lives across the multiverse as The Continuer.

Smashing Pumpkins - The Beginning Is End Is The Beginning - A song that tells a whole story. The aforementioned character, Rougia, mulling over the thoughts of her past: Losing her mate to a curse induced coma and being unable to revive him, the pain of losing to Shadin, the villain threatening the multiverse with a horde of all devouring shadows, and how to defeat him without detroying universes in the process. shift the focus to one of the last poor souls saved by Rou from an untimely death on his own world, only to have an uprising occur between half of the city-station, Platform, where an misheard conversation sets a majority of the crew thinking that once Rou is done with them, they'll simply be sent back to their own worlds to die where they should have. Rou's city, everything she's worked for, comes crashing down, and Platform is forced into a real-space area, where Shadin takes advantage and tries to invade. The crew is forced to work together once more, but many lives are lost, until finally Rou seeks out Shadin and goes for the all or nothing kill. Rou's powers are shrugged off by Shadin, while his are met with equal results by her. The battle rages until finally, the city's AI activates several defense mechanisms and manages to send a badly damaged Shadin away, much to Rou's anger. Afterward, the situation onboard is cleared up and a large group of the crew, headed by Kay ((Aka Kursed, AKA Krystal of StarFox: See the bad ending in Command, where Krystal is shunned from both StarFox and StarWolf teams)) and they are left to roam Zero Resonance of their own will.

Smashing Pumpkins - The End Is The Beginning Is The End
- Again, a song (sort of) about Rougia. One her world, she began life as a test tube creature, given the attributes of a bate, and mixed with a strange, to date unknown magical essence, which was designed to make her continually regenerate and require her to never need food and forced her to obey her master, then person for whom she was being created for. She was then acceleratedly grown, but the experiment backfired. Instead, they were left with a 2'4" bat that was not at all developed ((no hips, bust, etc..)) but with a very intelligent mind instead. Deemed a failure, the doctor heading the experiment ordered her broken down to start from scratch. What happened after that was unknwon as a mysterious explosion rocked the lab, allowing the bat to escape, and her adventure began. Now imagin an alternate world where the same thing happened, but this time, no explosion happened. The bat was summarily placed into an atomizing chamber, broken down into nothing but a pile of chemical wastes, and flushed as an inert mess into the sewers. At least, they THOUGHT it was inert...

Instead, just as predicted, she regenerated, but uinlike the prime Rougia, this one's mind had broken from the experience; she was crazed, twisted, with a keen intellect and bloodlust for revenge on those who hurt her so badly. She went about gathering information, killing those who got in her way in a sick, twisted sort of way, alla Chucky from Child's Play. When she'd ammased enough power and money, she began her attack on the known world. Compters were hacked, defeneses were broken, misslies were launched and the bat lived through it all, the world reduced to bloody ashes. With nothing left to conquer, she grew bored and angry, until by chance, a freak visit came from a certain bat, looking to find alternates of herself...

Caramelldansen - Speedy Cakes remix - A silly little song, about me (Galen) trying to cheer up her best friend, Shadow, one of the former chatmods here, who finally left after the job became too stressful. One of the few songs I can picture myself dancing around to and acting silly.

Wow, this turned out longer than I thought, and I haven't even scratched the surface yet. Oh yes, I also went with Zephy's idea, and linked to Youtube examples of the songs, so you can hear them and see what you think. Thanks Zephy!

I love videogame music. so I shall dedicate a post for the largest VG remix community: OC Remix! they got pretty much every game you can think of, and most of their songs are very high quality, both digitally and artistic-wise. some of these songs could even be considered original if not for that recognizable melody. so here is a shuffle list of my OC Remix songs. oh and fun fact, all these songs are free to download at their site!

Super Mario 64 Pearlsong- The Wingless ah...this brings back the old memories...this is the first song I have ever listened to on the internet, but did not know how to download it until a few years later. this is the reason why my fursona can control water. we were born from a single water droplet, and left alone in the vast ocean that is called life... it's everywhere, surrounding our being. you can't escape it, you must flow with it, enjoy the pleasure of being dragged by the current... as you progress, the world becomes clear... you can see it, you can think it, you can decide it... unfortunately, all life must end, fading away peacefully into the vast ocean of life...
...
*shakes head* whoah... where was I? oh...yeah...the song has a lot of influence on me...it tends to bring my thoughtful side... *ahem* moving on...

Donkey Kong Country Dolphin Ride- Monkey Kong ah, another water themed song...this has to be one of the best songs from Donkey Kong Country (right next to Fear Factory). its a slow type of rock that despite it's speed, it becomes rather powerful halfway through, then a relaxing piano solo at the end. I guess there a many ways to see one thing. don't just focus on a single point of view, you may be missing out on something...

Donkey Kong Country 2 The Delay- Blue Magic hehe...more DK goodness. this is actually e remix of two songs, known as Stickerbrush Symphony (AKA Bramble Blast) and Hot Head Bop, though the way it is arranged makes it sound like a song straight out of Metroid Prime. I always imagined this as "what if there was a level in MP where you had to jump though brambles in the sky with a lava pit waiting miles below you?"

Sonic the Hedgehog Absolution Comes in Dreams- Cyril the Wolf, M-One I just love singing to this song. more relaxing and laid-back than the original, whenever I hear it, I imagine Silver in Tikal's world.

Tetris Thirty-Plus Mix- R3FORGED time to start the party! and what better song than a tetris song! its a very psychedelic remix of the Game Boy's version of Song B. whenever I hear this, I think of floating through cyberspace with tetriminos as shooting stars.

I'll be posting more later... there's plenty more where this came from... :3

Epic Thread! I love music!
There isn't a single genre I don't adore.
Everything from Vivaldi to Prince to Eminem to TV/Game Soundtracks.

In the end I can't pick an absolute 5 favourite songs but I'll try to narrow it down.

Propane Nightmares by Pendulum.
Bohemian Like You. by The Dandy Warhols.
Ghost Love Score. by Nightwish.
The Hell Song. by Sum 41.
Hide and Seek by Imogen Heap.
I once wrote this about these:

"Perfection is a strange thing.
The only thing you can do is sit and listen to the notes.
You can't see.
You can't feel.
You can't smell.
You can't think.

Something perfect can be good or bad but you can't make an opinion on it, as you can't think of anything else to compare it to.

All you know is that there is nothing more important than this.
And when it's over you can sit for another 5 minutes until the effects of the song wear off and the real world melts back into your life.

And the best thing about perfection is that this happens every time you hear that song. You can listen to a perfect song 1000 times and it'll always have that effect."

And I still stand by this today.

And I know this is more than 5 but there are a few others which deserve a mention.
Somebody Hates Me. by Reel Big Fish. (can't find a better video)
This is the jolliest song ever.
I get high listening to it.
Route 209. a pokémon tune.
World's most potent anti-depressant. No-one deserves the fate of never hearing this.
Red Zone. by Tatsuya Shimizu.
*Commence headbob*
The Sound of Madness. by Shinedown.
Epic.
And Party Hard by Andrew W. K.

---

I fail at narrowing things down.

I have downloaded and listen to all of your songs, Luke, and it's time for me to give my opinions of them and my grades:

1. Rise Against - Savior = A-
(This song was quite nice, to be honest. I didn't really pay attention to the words that much, but I could tell it was meaningful and touching, not to mention not be just about screaming. It's not the best I've ever heard, but a nice choice by you)

2.
The Devil Wears Prada - Dogs Can Grow Beards All Over = D+ (The only reason why I gave this song a plus and not a full D or F is because there's a few parts in it that are normal, not to mention a few normal-spoken words. Sorry, but just pointless yelling and pointless playing that make my head hurt isn't really that great)

3. Eluveitie - Thousandfold = C (To be honest, I couldn't find this song. I looked for a long time on Frostwire, and since you gave no youtube video, I cannot listen to this. So, since I can't honestly say if it's bad or good, I'm giving it a grade that's right in the middle, which I think is fair)

4. Protest The Hero - Sequoia Throne = C+ (At least with this song, it makes a bit more sense and I can actually understand it. Still don't really enjoy the screaming and head-banging, but this one isn't totally dreadful, so the least it deserves is an average grade, I suppose)

5. Kamelot - Ghost Opera = B (I was tempted to make this grade higher, but I just can't do it. I honestly enjoy this song; it's creepy and pretty good at the same time, but it's just not really something that I can honestly say I'd listen to over and over again. Very good, but not very great)

Overall, thanks for posting some songs, Luke. Feel free to post five more whenever you want. It was kind of you to share your likings, and I thank you for them; I enjoy music and it makes me happy to see others taking a liking to this as well.

My likings, in order:

1. Savior
2. Ghost Opera
3. Sequoia Throne
4. Thousandfold
5. Dogs Can Grow Beards All Over

Rain wrote:Ooooh this is gonna be fun, and it gives me some new bands to look up

Lucian, or in this case, Rain, thank you for posting some songs. Everything you post is always amusing, and I went to check out your songs. Here is my opinions and grades of them:

1. Led Zeppelin - Over The Hills And Far Away = C-
(While Led Zeppelin is one of the greatest musicians of all time, I'd say, mellow songs just don't appeal to me. Sure, it's not bad, but there's just too much calmness and not really enough there to intrigue me to listen to it more than once a month, if that)

2. Coheed And Cambria - Radio Bye Bye = B- (It reminds me of music from Sonic The Hedgehog, or from a style of Anime theme songs that I've heard. It's not something I'd really listen to that much, but it's really not that bad of a song, when it comes right down to it)

3. Avenged Sevenfold - Dear God = A (A lovely song, since I'm religious and I find this to be a religious song. The only reason why it doesn't get a perfect grade is because the long instrumental at the end is pointless, and it's a bit long. However, I really enjoy this song and I commend you for it)

4. Eminem - Deja Vu = B- (I typically hate pointless rap songs where the moronic singer just cusses or uses foul, dirty sentences to amuse stupid listeners. This song is almost like that, but I still slightly enjoy it. I still hate Eminem, despite me having a few songs by him, and I hate people who cuss, but I still found this song interesting)

5. Flobots - Handlebars = A+ (I don't know why, but I really enjoy this song a lot. It's not that long, it has a funky and cool rhythm, it has a freakish and interesting message, and there's really no pointless foul language or sexual talk in for no reason at all. Despite not being a typical song I'd listen to, I highly enjoy it)

I must admit that you don't listen to that bad of songs, Lucian (Rain). Most of these songs I liked to listen to, and I will be keeping on my computer for a long, long time. In order, here is my order of favorites:

1. Handlebars
2. Dear God
3. Deja Vu
4. Radio Bye Bye
5. Over The Hills And Far Away

AaronScales wrote:Move your dead bones- Dr.

Thanks for sharing your song choices, Aaron. I have to admit that I enjoyed really all of your songs. For my opinions and ratings, keep reading:

1. Dr. Reanimator - Move Your Dead Bones = A+
(I was shocked how much I enjoyed this song. While the singer is a bit freaky, I really loved the beat of this song and the message it was sending, even if it wasn't really logical. A very nice choice here, Aaron)

2. Trace Adkins - Honky Tonk Badonkadonk = B
(While I enjoy country songs, this one really doesn't appeal to me that much. Sure, it's pretty funny and it has a nice beat, and I really enjoy Trace's songs. I don't care for it too much, but at the same time, it's enjoyable)

3. The Nightmare Before Christmas - The Oogie Boogie Song = A- (I honestly like movie songs most of the time, and I agree that this one is quite evil and nice. The only reason why I gave it a minus is because it's just a bit TOO slow and kind of drags on a few times. However, I still really love this wicked and funny song)

4. Plain White T's - What If - B (It's really not that bad of a song, but not one that I would listen to over and over again if I was bored. I agree that the message is a special one that you can apply to your life, and the song itself has a nice rhythm, but it's not quite up to snuff)

5. Diamond Rio - Beautiful Mess = B+ (This is one song that I already had on my computer and I already had the CD for. While it's a bit too mellow and slow sometimes, I think it's a great song. I always think of Rouge and Knuckles for some reason when I hear this song. Not perfect, but really enjoyable)

I think that, so far, your songs have all been ranked really highly by me, Aaron, instead of only a few being good. You have good taste in music and I commend you for that. Here's my final order of likings with your song choices:

1. Move Your Dead Bones
2. The Oogie Boogie Song
3. Beautiful Mess
4. Honky Tonk Badonkadonk
5. What If

I can understand why you might not like some of the songs on my list. Listening to metal, and screamo in particular, is like listening to a different language to most people. Some can comprehend it and appreciate it, but for others it's just not for them. Some people just hear screaming and turn it off right there. Not saying you did that, but it gets some unfair critisism around the music world. Here's a link to Thousandfold if you wanna listen to it. It's more screaming, but this vocalist "growls" which isn't nearly as hard as TDWP. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kb8WGig0MLU

And I'll definately post some more later. Maybe I'll pick some of my calmer music this time XP

My songs, part 2. I promise there will be less screaming in these XP

1. Given the Choice Between You and a Seasick Crocodile, I'd Take the Seasick Crocodile - My Eyes Fall Victim (Just thought I'd use this as a plug for this band from my high school. The guys graduated with me / the year before me. If you like it, check 'em out on Facebook, MySpace, and iTunes. They will be touring the North East this summer! (Warning: Some screaming))

2. Time to Waste - Alkaline Trio (This isn't really one of my favorite songs from these guys, but I chose this video because their vocalist looks exactly like DiNozzo from NCIS. Not a bad band at all if you're into punk/punk rock/emo music, similar to My Chemical Romance.)

3. The Science of Selling Yourself Short - Less Than Jake (This is prolly one of my favorite ska songs from my favorite band of the genre. For those who don't know what ska is, it's basically like punk rock, but with horn instruments worked in too.)

4. Omnos - Eluveitie (The 2 fems of this band take over to show just how diverse they can be with their music. This song is a huge transition from their normal stuff, which can be as hardcore as it gets. Even though this song isn't spoken in English, but instead in Gaulish, like much of this bands works, I like listening to it for the flute parts and for the beautiful vocals. Oh, and Anna is hawt X3)

5. Collapse (Post-Amerika) - Rise Against (I knew I wanted to pick another Rise Against song, but I had a pretty hard time deciding which one. I decided on this one because it has some of the most powerful lyrics I've heard in any song I've ever listened to. "When your home on the range has been torn down and paved, and the buffalo roam to a slaughterhouse grave, what more will they take?")

time for part 2 of my OC Remix collection! I'll be skipping songs if they are repeated from the last post. anyways, let's go! *starts shuffle mode*

Donkey Kong Country Industrial Hysteria- bLiNd starting off with yet another DK song! (a lot of the songs are from DK. really, that game just has epic songs) this one is a techno remix to "Fear Factory". it takes a while to reach the melody, but it's rather satisfying in the end.

Donkey Kong Permutation- Nicole Adams, injury another remix to "fear factory"...but this one is special...it has lyrics! I'm actually not a big fan of lyrics in a song, for sometimes they tend to express a totally different message the song is sending, but this in one of those that go well with the song. it talks about how we are trapped in a world that seeps our individuality. whenever I hear it, I think of an RP, where my character Bailey is trapped in a biosphere. she was experimented on and forced into vore, turning her into a predator.

Kirby 64 Dark Matter- PrototypeRaptor ok... I skipped like 2 other DK songs that popped in shuffle (DK is that awesome)... so here's a very hard remix. those who have played the crystal shards will remember this epic boss battle. gotta love the creepy solos, the evil laughter (though its a bit repetitive) and the death tune at the very end.

LoZ: Four Swords Adventures The Electric Flute- halc I just love how this song was remixed! hypnotic flute melody mixed with peppy 8-bit goodness. it does great justice to its original song "Frozen Hyrule" which in itself is a remix of "dark world" from LoZ: a Link to the Past.

LoZ: Ocarina of Time Eye of the Storm- Rozovian mmm...such a relaxing beat. this song is a remix of my fav song in OoT: "song of storms". this one though, has a cooler tone than the windmill or the ocarina versions of the game. I feel as though the world is frozen and a light drizzle covers the area...

that's it for OC Remix for now... next post will be other songs. part 3 will come after that... for now, enjoy! :3

Alright here goes my Part Duex

Soothsayer - Buckethead - This song is deceptively awesome unless you already know how buckethead plays (which anyone who's played guitar hero 2 or 3 would most likely know) He starts out slow but builds to his awesome guitar solos, which is really all this song is. There are no words though so if ya don't like instrumentals he's not for you. It's a little hard to explain the scene in my head when I hear this song, but it would be something along the lines of a brooding individual reminsciing while walking to a particular goal. Sorry if that doesn't makes sense but listening to the song might help.

Lost - Avenged Sevenfold. - Another A7X song. I really like the band but it is easy to see how their music can get a little annoying The twin guitars are one of my favorite aspects of the band, mainly because of the way they sound. No personal attachment to this song, but it does make for interesting fight music.

Ragdoll Physics - Diablo Swing Orchestra. This band was introduced to me by a friend and I wonder why I never found them earlier. There an amazing mix of swing, opera, and heavy metal. This song in particular has more synchapatated rythims than swing but it's still really good. I think my favorite part of the song is anytime there's opera singing overlapping the heavy guitar riffs, it makes for a very interesting sound.

Down With The Sickness - Disturbed. Let the Headbanging commence! Hehe to understand why I like this song you have to understand I LOVE anything to do with zombies. And this is the perfect zombie song. It sort of embodies that adrenaline rush from running and fighting off the hordes of the infected. And yes I do listen to it while playing left 4 dead, who Doesn't?

Free Bird - Lynyrd Skynyrd. Yeah I'm a sucker for the super long guitar and instrumental solos. There really isn't much to say other than its a fun song to rock out to, though it is ten minutes long so you need a bit of time to really hear everything. Note the link I posted is an interesting live version of the song so it's a little different from the recorded version
