Announcing My Official Resignation of Head Admin Position.

Hey guys. This will be my last message as staff member on the HPF. I'm officially resigning from my position of head administrator as of immediately.

This account will still exist, as being the Founder account, it cannot be deleted. It also has certain permissions that other admin accounts do not. So, I have given access to it to Guan, who is being promoted to head administrator to replace me. This account will not be used as a personal account for anyone; Guan still will be operating under his own account.

Obviously, all matters normally told to me should now be directed to Guan. He has full authority for this site now.

I will be migrating over to my new account, "CutieCharem". This account is just a user-level account; I will still be here, but I will no longer handle any staff-related issues.

Now that I've gotten the official business out of the way...you all are likely wondering why I am leaving. There are several factors. First off, my life has been very tumultuous lately and I have not had the energy to handle issues on this site. Second, I will soon be moving out, and my computer/internet access after this will be questionable.

Third, and most importantly...my heart just isn't in this business anymore. I created this forum under the notion that it would be slightly popular, if anything. The amount of users and activity here has surprised me greatly, and while it is a positive thing to see so much use being put into this forum, it requires that staff need to put more energy into maintaining this place as well. Simply put, this place has gotten too big for me.

A number of staff - and I'm sure a number of you users as well - have noticed that I have been dropping the ball a lot lately. My passion is gone, and it would be better that I leave rather than continue holding a position I am not being responsible for.

I shall be moving over to CutieCharem now, and hopefully I will be able to actually be an active user from now on. As staff, for the longest time, I was unable to feel like actually having a good time here, because of all the issues I had to handle. It is likely part of the reason I lost my passion too.

So...farewell from this account, people.

It's alrite, Charem. Being in charge of something that impacts a large number of people like a web site does can be very taxing on anyone, and having real life issues only makes matters more stressful. You did something very right when you created HPF. I've met several good friends here. If it's too stressful and too much of a hassle, forcing yourself to push through it would only make it worse. You should be able to enjoy it, and hopefully after things settle down in your life and with less responsibility online, you'll be able to enjoy HPF again. Good luck with everything, dude. *hugs*

I can sympathize with the loss of passion as a result of not getting to be an active member in something you've created. While it's not quite the same, I've made a number of table top RPGs to play with friends, and since I made them and am most familiar with the more technical rules, and because I'm just best at doing it, I always find myself as the GM in scenarios. While I don't have a problem with this necessarily, I find myself at times really wanting to just be a player, rather than be stuck with the responsibilities of running the show. I know it's not the exact same thing as this. I'm just saying that I know what you're getting at.

Must be tough... anyways cutiecharem, maybe we can be good friends! And keep your eye on trace...

We are going to miss you Charem, at that askpect, but it is completely understandable, your reasons. We just hope you feel better, btu you'll still be our Charem, and nothing will change the fact...

Im sorry ta see you go. It seems for the best though. I know your life is hectic, and I think this place has been an unnecessary burden for you for quite some time. And just because you arn't admin anymore dosn't mean you cant have fun with us! It should be easier now, not having to worry about all the serious buisness.
