Pokemon: Rocket Version

Pokemon: Rocket Version
Just an idea I had while playing my Soul Silver version.
My idea for Rocket Version would be you begin as a Rocket Trainee. It would begin with you getting your rocket issue Pokemon. Either a Grimer, Zubat, or Ekans. While you are a trainee, you cannot leave the compound, or go into most of the rooms.
After you complete some tests, (AKA, Gym Battle) you become a Rocket Grunt. When this happens, you can enter more rooms, and leave the compound to go on missions. When on missions, you can catch wild Pokemon, and other trainers Pokemon.
After another 'test' You can become a Scientist. As a scientist, you can enter more rooms and go on higher rated missions.
Next is Executive. You get the same thing as the previous promotions. And then Commander.
The last rank upgrade is Boss. To get this position, you need to beat the other Commanders, and the current Boss (Elite 4)
The character sprites would be different from the latest batch, the male character having hair like James, and the female has hair like Jessie.
Also, there would be an extra stat, a lot like Happiness. This stat is Loyalty. Instead of Pokemon disobeying you when it is above a certain level, it disobeys you when it is below a certain loyalty. Wild Pokemon are weaker then stolen Pokemon, but they have a higher loyalty
Please give me feedback, even if it is that this is a stupid idea.

I've always wanted a Rocket or baddie based game, but I don't think we'll ever get it, because you'll have to go around and do actually bad things. Actual Team Rocket agenda has always been mercilessly dark and incredibly cruel, so giving a game like that to the vast population of Pokemon game players (kids) would be a profit questionable move on Nintendo's part.
Of course, in my mind the execution of the idea is a bit different than yours in regards to the fineries, but as far as the main character being Rocket member and a baddie? Yeah, I've always wanted to see that happen.

On another forum I go on, someone suggested that Black and White would do a sort of good and evil thing where you do the standard story in one game, with your rival being a member of the evil team, and the other one would basically be the reverse story. At one point, the head of the evil team would try to summon the legendaries and you realise that he's a crazy person that's going to destroy the world (if you're in the evil game) and you team up with your rival to stop him. This wouldn't be particularly bad for Gamefreak to put into a game because the end would basically be the plot from Colloseum.
In certain parts of the stories, you could have an instance where you can't go into the gym because your rival has already defeated them and taken their Pokemon and you have to get it back (and in the evil game, you would take the gym leaders Pokemon and defeat your rival to keep it). I don't think loyalty is really neccesary because wild Pokemon should automatically listen to you like always (Team Rocket's Pokemon never disobey them) and you could use a Snag Machine to catch trainers' Pokemon. Also, if there are quests, I think you should start doing them right after you get whatever tutorials you would go through like Kingdom Hearts: 358/2 Days.

I was thinking loyalty would be a penalty for catching others pokemon, and have loyalty also be a like when pokemon disobeys you when it gets past a certain level, only more involved.

That is exactly what I was thinking, Trainee is tutorial, and most missions are random, but there are lots of storyline missions. I don't know much of 365/2, as I have only completed the main two games, 365/2 I only played on emulation, and it kept on crashing. I was more thinking it was like Mystery Dungeon, but it might be the same.

In KH 358/2 Days, you usually have a set number of missions for the day and you have to do certain ones, so it is pretty similar to Mystery Dungeon. Although, you might have missions that are simply scout around the area instead of go find an item/Pokemon for the person.
I guess you would need some penalty for capturing other trainers' Pokemon unless you make it so that you can only catch certain Pokemon like in Colloseum and XD.

I've always wanted to see a game like that. Not even just with pokemon, either. I just think it would be a nice change of pace to have the player playing from the villain's point-of-view.

Great idea! I wish I could have my huggles and play that game. I had an awesome houndoom named huggles on my crystal version. Huggles could kill anything!

Necroposting, thread locked.
I'm also going to PM you about this, Huggles, but:
Don't post in any thread that's more than 6 months old.
It's nice that you're excited to participate, but make sure the thread is... y'know, not thoroughly dead before you do.
