I'm just as surprised as the rest of you guys, honestly. Well, if by some miracle we were spared, I'm still going to keep the backup location up in case something goes down without warning. Nothing will change here on my volition except that for now, I'm going to take this announcement down off of global status and ease off the warnings. We'll drop down to Orange Level or so, though without the stupid airline searches and loss of civil liberties. I don't bow down to fear like some pussy nations in which I live nowadays.

I'd assume so. It seems they either forgot or someone was out of line in the forums ToC department... o.o Not that I haven't seen THAT a few times.

As much as it would be a shame to see the site go down as a result of such a message due to the site only being up because they forgot or something, I have to agree that sending such a message would be better than being stuck wondering about the fate of HPF.

Hmm. Well, I'll still use the new site regardless. You never know.

I feel that the fact that we weren't shut down when we'd made such preparations was a larger blow to the HPF than if they'd followed through with it.
No-one knowing if their post will still be here the next day so they don't bother to post in the first place.

I agree. The site hasn't been nearly as active since the announcement has been made, and in addition the new site doesn't seem as active as this one was (based on what I've seen anyway). I've also been personally feeling that if there are both sites, then the population will inevitably be divided amongst those who want to stick here, those who want to use the new site, and those who will just simply use both.

Sorry guys, but I don't know what to tell you. For those of you who don't think I have been trying to find out what's going on, I have contacted Forumotion NUMEROUS times asking what the deal is. I have received no response; hence, I don't know how we are proceeding from this point forward except to say that I am keeping the backup sites up for now and am currently dealing with more than I think ANY of you are aware.

I will say that it's been a week since they threatened to shut down, and I don't think they'll be going through with it. Once I can convene with staff, we'll be discussing some rather strong changes in administration and registration. Please be patient.

I lik the new color, but it is a little too dark. Maybe just lighten it a bit so that it's easier to see Black, indigo and darkblue.

hope something get's done soon. Most people aren't posting all that much cause they're worried the site's gonna close and they'll loose what they did.

I hope it doesn't go down. I know I really don't post much, but I enjoy coming here to read and such. Would dislike losing a site I come to often.

Would be nice if they would at least reply to you and say what they plan to do, but then again I suppose no news is good news in regards to this. Though having it looming overhead without knowing is worse in my opinion.

I agree with Aaron here. With two sites it means that we're divided up. Some people go to one, both, or just not at all anymore and it's REALLY pissing me off. But now that we have both sites, it's going to be a pain if either of them go down since there are now some activities going on the new site.
