What do you think is the best idea for a change in the RP Forum section? [Poll]

Hey HPF! Tonight, we're dicussing a change in the RP forum! This change was brought up by a suggestion made by a long time HPF member, Kotetsu, Here's Kotetsu's proposal. Upon this suggestion, Guan and I took to putting our head together on how we could change the RP Forums for the better to rid the most promenant part of this forum, of the cluster of Private, and Open RPs.

So far, Kotetsu requested a forum in the RP section for Private RPs, including sub-forums entitled Vore, Yiff, and General. While, Guan, came up with an idea to split each Forum(Yiff, Vore, General) into two diffent Sub Forums, Open RPs and Private RPs, I came up with a way, of which goes with Guan's idea, to help the OOC forum, but adding a "Looking for RP" section in the opening of the desired forum. So from there, one could take it to the Open or Private sub-forum. However, there WILL be a limit
to what can go in the "Looking for" section. As Guan and I were discussing of adding a "Sign Up sheets" Sub Forum within the OOC forum itself, or possibly in the Forum's of Yiff, General and Vore..

This poll is to get the HPF communities outlook, and opinions on these ideas. For those whom might be confused about the idea for what the "Looking for RP" is, just think about the OOC section. When you first click on the OOC Forum's link on the homepage, it brings you to two sub forums and a list of Looking for RP threads. The two Sub forums, "Character Sheet" and "Looking for RP" Sub forums are what the Open RPs and Private RPs, are going to be within the Yiff, General and Vore Forums..

I personally like the idea of further separating the sections we already have, honestly. Mostly because adding a whole separate forum for purposes of RPing would be a little... clunky, I guess. x3

It'd be a lot like what we have now, just improved.

Umm, I have seen the chaos and confusion going on in the RP section and I place my thoughts to Guan's idea due to it's simplicity and division, making everything easier to find...

Oh! I just came up with a bit better idea for the sign up sheets.. Have a Sub Forum within the Yiff, Vore and General entilted Sign up sheets, as well.. To help clean the OOC section up a bit..

I like Guan and Shakura's take on the idea, especially the looking for RP thing. I'm sure it will help a lot of people who don't really use the chatbox.

Heya guys, I've re-read this as requested, though to be honest I don't agree with putting a signup sheet subforum in each of the RP forums. As long as it is made clear in which forum you intend to start an RP within your signup thread, a Signup Sheet subforum in the OOC forum should be sufficient. And other "s" words in the name of organizing the forums a bit better. XP

Here's a hierarchy of my proposed plan to put the words above in a more spatial context:

As shown above, this would result in me and Shakura sorting public and private RPs out per forum, as well as moving signup sheets and threads seeking non-specific or casual RPs to their appropriate places. Topic creation privileges would thus be restricted to the subforums, as I see no point in threads being made in the main forums after this division has taken effect. Hope this makes sense.

I voted for Kotetsu's idea, but since neither one seems to make much sense to me, I don't really mind either way.

I personally like Guan's idea a little better; to be honest, his hierarchy seems more like an easy outline, which is something I can easily understand.

I'm leaning towards kote's idea myself. keeping the privates in one nice and neat area sounds like a good idea. (pun intended?) the only thing I'd truly wish is for the private RPs to be removed from the recently posted section on the left... over the years I've lost interest in forum RP's. seeing so many privates (more puns) doesn't really inspire me to join a public one, as I prefer IMs for a private RPs myself. also, they tend to push down other subjects, which explains the lower activity in other (oh wow, I didn't know that 0 size font in the forums made the letters actually invisible! that's pretty neat! X3) subforums.

All right, guys, it looks like Shakura's idea has come out on top, so I'll be restructuring and moving threads now. Thanks to everyone who voted! As for the idea to remove private RPs from the portal, I'm afraid that's impossible. I'm not able to limit any threads in a forum from being seen in Latest Topics, even administrative ones.
