Username Alteration Thread

Folks, this was something I should have done when I updated our policy on username changes, and I greatly apologize for only now getting to it. Ever since the new policy, I've been getting dozens of requests from people wanting to go from name to name on a consistent basis, the overwhelming majority of them on the chatbox. Due to some past drama that has occurred in the past regarding this issue, I am now requiring that all username changes be recorded here, preferably by those who wish to change them. All I ask is for you to give me the following information in one easy-to-use line:

{Four-Digit User ID-Found in Your Profile Page URL}: Old Name :*: New Name

Example
#0002: Guan :*: ShunGuan

Obviously the new name is the most vital part of this request. If you leave out the other parts, a member of administration will fill them out for you before changing your information. Staff is permitted to post in this thread on your behalf if you still wish to send us PMs or chatbox requests, although we will be directing you to this thread every time you do so. I will be checking this every day and will respond to replies here just as immediately as I do over PMs.

In the opposite vein, if you already have changed your name here prior to the creation of this thread, I would appreciate you taking the time to let me know what your old name(s) was/were just to avoid confusion. I'm not requiring this out of anyone, just thought I'd at least ask.

Please feel free to watch this topic so that you are not left in the dark; however, please do not offer comments or ask questions about our policy in this thread. I will only be allowing responses here that follow the format above to request a name or provide old name information; all others will be removed. : This should really go without saying, but if you try to sign in with your old name after requesting a username and are unable, please try the new name first before coming to us. Complaints of "Well you should have notified meeeee!" will be promptly ignored. Common sense, my friends.
