Yeah why is the site shutting down?

Because it's against forumotion's terms of service.

Specifically, they don't allow pornographic material.

Then why don't you just get rid of all that? Of even re-create the site without it so we're follow their rules?

1. They count vore as adult content. It IS a fetish and everything.

2. We're doing that. There's a backup site, which is unaffiliated with forumotion.

That's insanity...someone must pay, and I mean anybody. I just wanna go sucker punch the guy across the street right now.

Vore is counted as adult content, yes, but how does that affiliate it with pornography? Could you link the back-up site? (And why is it that this site is affiliated with forumotion, but the back-up isn't?)

I would advise you against doing so. "Someone took my porn away" is a dumb reason to punch people.

Unless it's the GOVERNMENT who takes your porn away.

We almost got shut down a while back, but it didn't end up happening. However, the back-up site was set up on a different host then, and we've kept it around just in case.

Also, adult content... is just another way to say pornography, basically.

What the... who said anything about porn? I'm worried about my friends and RPs. Besides, "Forumation" is part of the internet, and the internet is part of the government. Someone needs to be punched. I'm going to the Rants and Raves about this.

It is a fetish. If you don't consider it such, there's still many, many people who think otherwise. Here is the backup site. It can also be found at the top of the front page.

You can continue to do your RPs with your friends on the backup site, linked to above. Also, the internet is not part of the government. That's why they've been trying so hard to pass SOPA and PIPA and CISPA, so they and change that.

Also, seriously. Chill. As mentioned, the backup forum is a thing that exists. It isn't a huge deal.

Oh, no. I don't dispute that it is a fetish. I was saying I didn't understand why it was counted at least similar to pornography. And thank you for the link.

I don't think it does, because I am pretty sure that the back up site has a licence to post adult material.

I tried that HPF Chatzy, too. It doesn't let me in, and I left a goodbye note to those....imbeciles, and I feel a bit better now.

Couple more questions:

1: Will the extra forums be added to the backup site, (such as the detailed RP forum like here, and the creativity, and that sort of thing)
2: I believe the signup for the backup site, said you only needed to be 13 to register, is that correct?

Yeah Sylvira I looked at the memberlist and it says you're already there... I looked a few hours ago.

weird. Especially because I just tried every password I've ever had (that I can remember) on there and it hasn't worked...

That happened to me because I used the name Silver instead of Houndoomed there. That said, you should be able to use the "forgot my password" thing...

Well, I've registered at the backup and while I haven't had a problem, apparently one of the ads or something infected another user's computer with a virus. D:

The sections are there however anything you want to put in them you'll have to transfer over yourself. If you want to see something transferred there which isn't yours then you'll have to ether ask the person to transfer it over, ask permission to transfer it over yourself (and give credit) or save it to your computer (if they're inactive here).

There isn't the EXP system in the new forum yet however it may be something we can add later.
Name changes are available as normal (No thread yet I'll make one in a minute. If you want a name change in the mean time PM me there and I can do it for you.)
