Character Description :: Created from splicing the DNA from an umbreon and a darkrai. Humans wanted to create the ultimate pokemon to rule the night. Which side of Shade is more dominant depends on the phase of the moon, though this only really affects personality and mood. Most of his characteristics match those of a normal umbreon, except that his left eye is blue and he has red plates on his chest. Once human, the method turning him into a pokemon brought out two sides within him: his love for the dark led to his umbreon half, but the darkness in his own heart drew out another: darkrai. His transformation had also robbed him of most of his memories, barely remembering anything of his old self. With the help of his mate Espeon, he was able to gain a new sense of himself, enjoying life more than he used to. Over the years he found that survival was the most important thing, especially in a world where you're either eating food or are the food. He had spent most of his time refining his dark powers in order to survive any kind of situation. However, these powers are not perfect, and although they do allow him to survive, they also often leave him vulnerable and easily manipulated. Powers: Size change: can change to any size, but the larger he is, the weaker he gets Protective Shield: Protects from digestion *if he wants it on* but is only fully effective in dark areas. The shield also allows him to breathe. Reformation Sphere: Holds his essence so if his body is digested, the sphere can reform his body once it's "purged" from the pred. However, light has to hit the sphere before it will activate. Gender swap: He can change genders by using his tail ring. However, when he himself becomes female, his personality takes on the traits of a typical female. She also has a bit of a predish side, something her male side doesn't have. Shadow Hopping: Given that the inside of preds are typically very dark, it's like it's filled with one huge shadow. He can escape this way, but only if the pred allows him to (it doesn't take much willpower to keep him locked inside) Weaknesses: His rings are very sensitive. Licking certain ones causes an uncontrollable reaction, usually too small to notice at first (like drooling by licking his forehead ring or forcing him to shrink by licking one of his ear rings)
